Lesson Notes

Welcome to another Play Better Banjo course!

This training was created in response to repeated request from folks in the Play Better Banjo community that I teach you exactly how to arrange your own melodies on the banjo.

The goal of this course is to teach you everything you need to know, in a step-by-step manner to take a melody that you hear in your head and transfer it to your banjo in a clawhammer style.

In Step One we cover the most overlooked aspect of the arrangement process and that’s a concept that I like to call Intentional Listening.

In a nutshell, Intentional Listening is the habit of taking a melody you’d like to arrange on your banjo and consciously studying and integrating it through planned, intentional listening sessions.
