Tablature
Key: D
Tuning: Double C Tuning (gCGCD)
Capo: 2nd fret (tune 5th string up to A)
Lesson Notes
One of the first fiddle tunes I ever really heard and one I still love to this day, although I don't hear it played around my neck of the woods as much these days as I did two and a half decades ago!
Many players (in the midwest, anyhow) add a third part in the key of G.
I never really learned that third part and the majority of jams you'll come across will play this tune in its two part format.
If you do find yourself in a situation where you need to fake your way through the third part, just follow this chord progression:
G - C - D - G
G - C - D - G
